G. S. Kim Jong Il receives letter from Ri In Mo

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) – General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a congratulatory letter from Ri In Mo, an incarnation of faith and will, on Wednesday, the sixth anniversary of his election as Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army and the 80th birth anniversary of the communist revolutionary fighter mother Kim Jong Suk.

Ri In Mo said in the letter that he met mother Kim Jong Suk in Phungsan just after the Pochonbo Battle in July 1937 and in a secret liaison place in Autumn of 1938.
At that time she gave him valuable instructions for underground activities and learnt about and directed the activities of the Phungsan area revolutionary committee under the association for the restoration of the fatherland, he noted.
He said that upon hearing the news of her death in Sep. 1949, he was overwhelmed with grief.
Her revolutionary life was too short, but her achievements are very great, he stressed.
Ri said that he would write good articles to widely introduce her distinguished personality and exploits and the greatness of General Kim Jong Il.
“Your politics is always successful and it will prove more successful in the future,” Ri said, adding:
“Your longevity guarantees the prosperity of socialist Korea and invincibility of the Korean Revolutionary Armed Forces.”
