KPA officers and men vow to remain loyal

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) — A solemn ceremony of officers and men of the three services of the Korean People’s Army was held at the revolutionary martyrs cemetery on Mt. Taesong on December 24 to pay homage to the communist revolutionary fighter mother Kim Jong Suk and pledge loyalty.

Lying before her bust was a wreath from Kim Jong Il, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party Of Korea, Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Supreme Commander of the KPA.
Attending the ceremony were Ri Jong Ok, Pak Song Chol and other senior party, state and army officials.
Laid before her bust was a wreath in the joint name of the WPK Central Military Commission and the DPRK National Defence Commission and wreaths in the name of the three services of the KPA.
KPA Vice Marshal Jo Myong Rok, Director of the General Political Department of the KPA, addressing the ceremony, said:
“Mother Kim Jong Suk remained loyal to President Kim Il Sung and performed undying feats in the sacred struggle for the Juche revolution and made it possible for the Korean people to be blessed with illustrious leaders generation after generation. She is immortal in the hearts of the Korean people and the progressives of the world.”
He called for carrying on the revolution with redoubled efforts under the guidance of General Kim Jong Il.
Then followed a military parade of officers and men of the KPA three services.
