Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) — The South Korean authorities arrested Rev. Kang Hui Nam, chairman of the south headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification (Pomminryon), and three other leading officials of the organisation on a charge of violating the “National Security Law.”
Rodong Sinmun today describes the apprehension as anti-reunification, anti-national fascist violence.
The news analyst says:
The “government” authorities, not content with the apprehension of innocent patriotic students calling for reunification and champions of reunification, have gone the length of arresting the public figure in his eighties.
That is a thrice-cursed anti-national, anti-reunification crime.
By doing so they showed that “reconciliation,” “unification” and “democracy” on their lips are a gross deception and hypocrisy.
They should stop suppressing and punishing pro-reunification, pro-democracy forces and immediately release Rev. Kang and other patriotic figures.
