Social scientists meet to commemorate 50th DPRK anniversary

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) — A symposium of social scientists was held here on Monday to commemorate the forthcoming 50th anniversary of the DPRK.

Speakers stressed that the President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK which is guided by the immortal Juche idea and whose masters are the working masses. Its foundation was a historic event declaring the birth of a state of new type centred on the popular masses, they said.
They said the President developed the DPRK into a powerful socialist state, independent, self-supporting and self-reliant in defence.
The DPRK is an invincible bulwark and beacon for the human cause of independence, they noted.
They stressed it is a sure guarantee for accomplishing the Juche revolutionary cause to uphold General Secretary Kim Jong Il with loyalty and exalt the exploits of the President in state-building for all ages.
Present at the symposium were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea Central Committee, Thae Hyong Chol, President of the Academy of Social Sciences, and others.
