Foreign crewmen meet

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) — Crewmen of foreign ships met at Nampho Port on the West Coast of Korea on Sept. 7 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the DPRK.

Present at the meeting were captains and crewmen of the Panama-flagged ship “Hong Yuan,” the Malta-flagged ship “Taixing,” the Turkey-flagged ship “Harcikemal Bay,” the U.S.-flagged ship “Liberty Spirit” and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines-flagged ship “Sona.”
The speakers said the DPRK was founded under the wise guidance of the President Kim Il Sung. It has turned into an independent and powerful socialist state, recording a proud history of 50 years, they noted.
They stated that Korea is now vigorously advancing for a victory of the socialist cause under the wise guidance of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
They said they extend warm congratulations to General Secretary Kim Jong Il upon his reelection as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK at the first session of the 10th Supreme People’s Assembly.
Victory and glory are in store for the Korean people wisely led by Kim Jong Il, the speakers said, wishing them greater success in the struggle for the prosperity and reunification of the country.
A congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.
