Floral baskets to Kim Jong Il from Peruvians

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) — Political and public figures of Peru visited the Korean embassy in Lima on September 8 in celebration of General Secretary Kim Jong Il’s reelection as Chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and the 50th anniversary of the DPRK.

Among them were the General Secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland), the Chairman of the New Leftist Movement of Peru, the General Secretary of the C.C., the Peruvian Communist Party, the Chairman of the Peru-Korea Institute of Culture and Friendship and the Chairman of the Peruvian National Association for the Study of Kimjongilism.
The visitors asked the DPRK ambassador to convey their floral baskets to Kim Jong Il.
Meanwhile, prominent personages of Peruvian political, economic and academic circles including the President of the Congress, the Mayor of San Isidro and the Secretary General of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea paid a congratulatory call at the Korean embassy and laid baskets of flowers before the portraits of the President Kim Il Sung and Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il.
