Brilliant footmark in long journey

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) — President Kim Il Sung made tireless efforts for global independence with noble internationalism. In his lifetime, he made 522,460-km-long journey on foreign trip.

He had conducted energetic external activities, visiting a total of 87 countries on 54 occasions, since Korea began to build a new country after its liberation in August 1945.
Many great events and emotional stories which will shine long in history were recorded in a long journey across continents and oceans.
He met with leaders of foreign countries and deepened mutual trust and understanding, comradely friendship and intimacy with them. Foreign party and state leaders highly praised his feats for the Korean revolution and the world revolution and deeply revered him as a distinguished activist of the international communist movement and working-class movement and a recognized leader of the world revolution.
Stalin of the former Soviet Union, Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai of China, Sukarno of Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam, Tito of Yugoslavia and other state leaders accompanied the President in the whole period of his visit to their countries, deeming the visit a great jubilee.
During foreign trips he made undying contributions to the struggle for the international communist movement, world peace and independence of mankind with his energetic activities.
The estimation of situation and all policy-related matters made clear by him in conversations, talks, lectures and speeches during the period created a great sensation among state leaders, prominent figures and people of relevant countries.
Leaders and prominent politicians of many countries of the world highly praised as precious wealth of the national liberation movement and the international working-class movement “on socialist construction in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the South Korean revolution,” a lecture given by the President at the “Ali Archam” Academy of Social Sciences of Indonesia in April 1965.
During the stay in foreign countries the President met with many political and public figures and working people as well as state leaders and left a lot of anecdotes about a people’s leader.
He met with Hans Grotewohl, son of the former chairman of the council of ministers of the German Democratic Republic, a worker couple with triplets in Berlin, and others who had meaningful relations with him.
These stories are now told among people at home and abroad as legends of love.
The great footmarks left by the President for external activities reflect his tireless efforts for human cause of independence and shine in the world’s political map of the 20th century.
