S. Korean authorities’ suppression of pro- reunification patriotic figures denounced

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) — Workers and farmers of the Pyongyang Tobacco Factory, the Mangyongdae branch of the Mangyongdae District State Farm and Rihyon Cooperative Farm of Sadong district, Pyongyang, held rallies to denounce the South Korean authorities’ brutal suppression of pro-reunification patriotic figures.

The rallies said that the South Korean ruling quarters’ cruel suppression of pro-reunification patriotic figures including Father Mun Kyu Hyon who visited the northern half of the country and Choe Jin Su, secretary general of the south headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification (Pomminryon), is an anti-national, anti-reunification criminal act.
Speakers noted: the South Korean rulers are harshly persecuting pro-reunification patriots, forcibly connecting them with the north on the strength of the “National Security Law.” This exposes that “dialogue” and “cooperation” on their lips are only deceptive ones to cover up their true colors.
No matter how frantically they try, they can not block the vigorous advance of the fellow countrymen toward reunification. They must immediately stop brutal suppression of the pro-reunification patriotic forces and unconditionally release illegally arrested figures without delay.
