S. Korean bank trade unions threatened

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) — The South Korean authorities scheme to suppress a planned general strike of bank trade unions against “restructuring” with mobilization of police and even military personnel, a Seoul-based radio reported.

The supreme public prosecutor’s office on Sept. 25 threatened that in case nine bank trade unions under the National Federation of Financial Trade Unions start a general strike, it will call out “government power” and even military personnel to disperse it.
