Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) — The General Association of Business Managers of South Korea held a meeting on Oct. 20 and announced the detailed punishment rules to check the workers’ political activities, a Seoul-based radio said.
In the rules the reactionary association said that in case workers participate in various “election” campaigns, they will be considered to be away from work and the “elect” will be dismissed. It also said union meetings, entry and lectures of outsiders and dissemination of propaganda literature will be prohibited and that those who violate the rules will be punished.
The radio said this announcement will evoke serious repercussions on the labour camp under the situation in which political activities of the workers including those of the South Korean Confederation of Trade Unions are believed to get into full stride.
