Kim Jong Il visits foodstuff factory

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) — General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave personal guidance to the foodstuff factory managed by Om Ul Yong on Thursday.

The factory is a comprehensive foodstuff processing center that produces soy sauce, bean paste, seasoning, oil, butter, noodle, confectionery and other foodstuffs. It finished a capacity expansion project on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the Worker’s Party of Korea.

The streamlined factory equipped with up-to-date production processes will provide soldiers with larger quantities of delicious and nutritious quality foodstuffs.

He looked round the soy sauce workshop, seasoning workshop, butter workshop and other production processes and learned about how the factory had been constructed and was producing foodstuffs.

Looking at the production process of various foodstuffs, he noted with great satisfaction that his desire to supply soldiers with more quantities of delicious and nutritious foodstuffs had been met at last.

He expressed great satisfaction with the fact that the party members and other working people of the factory had kept the inside and outside of the factory neat and clean and constantly increased its production capacity with an optimistic view of the future during the “arduous march” characterized by shortage and difficulty. He urged the entire army and all the people to follow their model as creators of new culture of the working class.

He put forward important tasks to manage the factory and put production on a steady basis.

He had a picture taken with labor innovators of the factory.

He was accompanied by vice Marshals Jo Myong Rok, Kim Yong Chun and Kim Il Chol and general officers of the Korean People’s Army.

The visiting party also included secretaries Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Ki Nam and Kim Yong Sun and first vice department directors of the Central Committee of the WPK.
