S. Korean ruler’s moves to resurrect “Yusin” dictator protested

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) — Historians of universities including Sookmyung Women’s University and Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul on October 25 called a press conference and strongly protested the authorities’ moves to resurrect the soul of the “Yusin” dictator, according to a radio report from Seoul.

They expressed their resentment against the “government’s” continued assistance to building a “memorial hall” of “Yusin” dictator Park Chung Hee, despite public opposition.

They said that they would wage a joint protest movement with other public organizations till the “plan for building the memorial” is withdrawn.
