Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) — An university wing opened at the three revolution exhibition in Pyongyang is crowded with visitors.
Exhibited there are more than 3,000 materials of over 1,100 kinds on successful scientific researches contributed by over 80 universities in the capital and local areas including Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology.
Among them are latest scientific and technical achievements including a scan electron microscope of high magnification, a metal hydride-nickel battery and high dielectric constant electric ceramic membranes produced at Kim Il Sung University.
Also on display are other scientific and research achievements conducive to making the national economy Juche-oriented, modern and scientific including a processing lathe capable of three-dimensional processing of materials made at Kim Chaek University of Technology and a fish processing machine made at the Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering.
Also exhibited are “kaoliang Ryong Nam” and other new varieties of crop seeds which can ensure a stable high yield even under bad weather conditions. Also seen are “interferon” produced by Korean scientists and technicians for the first time by applying genetic engineering technology and other materials noteworthy in the medical and biological field.
Visitors show keen interest in a “super-high vaccume pump,” “silver water stone,” “Hosimhwan” and “menthol-absorbent for cigarette” and other research successes which were highly praised at the Geneva International Inventions and New Technology Saloons. These show a rapid progress made in higher education in the DPRK.
