Revision of labour law demanded

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) — The South Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of South Korean Trade Unions strongly urged the authorities to revise the evil labour law at a joint symposium on the present conditions of the workers on November 5, a Seoul-based radio reported.

It was also attended by members of ruling and opposition parties. The two organizations, respectively clarifying their position, dismissed the existing “labour law” as one aimed to bar union activities and demanded the authorities revise the law and stabilize the workers’ living by increasing job chances for them.
