Abolition of “security law” called for

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) — More than 3,000 women from all walks of life reportedly approved a women’s declaration for the abolition of “security law” unveiled by the “National Alliance for Democracy and Reunification.”

The declaration noted that patriotic champions of reunification are arrested and inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation and reunification blocked owing to the “security law,” an evil law of the century.

It said that with the “law” left intact, it is impossible to achieve democracy and peaceful reunification. Women called for the repeal of the “law,” aware that they are responsible for the destiny of the nation, it said.

It earnestly called for the abolition of the “security law” which defines the north, directly responsible for reunification, as an “anti-state organization” and which violates the north-south agreement and blocks the non-governmental movement for reunification.
