Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) — The Central Committee of the Worker’s Party of Korea gave a reception on Saturday in honor of the visiting delegation of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea headed by Candido Muatetema, deputy general secretary of the party.
Choe Thae Bok, alternate member of the political bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, in his speech at the reception said the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea has expressed firm support and solidarity with the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle to defend sovereignty and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country. We are very pleased to have friends on the African continent who treasure independence and sense of obligation, he added, and continued:
It is the WPK’s consistent stand to favorably develop the friendly relations with the party. We will as ever make all efforts to continue to consolidate and develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties provided by the President Kim Il Sung and respected Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Speaking next, the deputy general secretary noted the delegation’s visit to the DPRK is of great significance because this will contribute to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties.
Pointing out that the two parties and peoples have long maintained the friendly relations, he said the President of the country who is the founder of his party is determined to further the relations with the DPRK.
Saying they arrived in Pyongyang with solidarity and warm feelings toward the Korean people, he expressed the belief that the Korean people would continue to advance along the path chosen by themselves, guided by the ideas of Kim Il Sung.
