U.S. to blame for Jeju “April 3 incident”

Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) — The Jeju April 3 Institute of South Korea held that the U.S. government is to blame for the “April 3 incident,” according to a radio report from Seoul.

The “April 3 incident” is the massacre of at least 70,000 demonstrators committed by the South Korean authorities at the instigation of the U.S. on April 3, 1948 when people on Jeju Island rose in a popular uprising against Syngman Rhee’s treacherous May 10 separate “election”.

The institute, asserting that the U.S. intentionally sparked the incident, threatened to lodge a lawsuit against the U.S. government to probe the truth about the incident.
