Kim Jong Suk registered as honorary citizen

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) — The Council of Huaura Province, Peru, adopted a decision on registering the revolutionary fighter Kim Jong Suk as an honorary citizen of Huacho city on the occasion of her 82nd birth anniversary.


A ceremony of awarding a certificate of honorary citizenship and a gold medal was held in the Huaura provincial office in Peru on November 26.

Present at the ceremony were the Mayor of Huacho who is also the governor of the province, members of the council, the DPRK ambassador to Peru and his embassy officials.

The certificate of honorary citizenship and the gold medal were handed to the DPRK ambassador by the governor of the province after the decision of the council was read out at the ceremony.

The governor said it is an honor and pleasure for all the people in the province and the city to have decided to register Kim Jong Suk, an exemplary leader of the Korean women’s emancipation movement, as an honorary citizen of Huacho city and award a certificate of honorary citizenship and a gold medal to her on her 82nd birth anniversary.

He stressed that her brilliant life and feats will shine forever in the history of the Korean women’s movement.

The certificate of honorary citizenship reads: The Huacho city hall in Huaura province has registered Kim Jong Suk, an exemplary leader of the Korean women’s emancipation movement, as an honorary citizen of Huacho city.
