Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) — The national exhibition of scientific and technological achievements of youth and students opened at the Three-Revolution Exhibition on August 25 on the occasion of the Youth Day.
It will go on until September 5.
Seen there are 1,100-odd exhibits showing scientific and technological successes made by young scientists of national and provincial institutions.
They are catching the eyes of the visitors as they reflect the requirement of the developing reality.
Young scientists have developed the technology for helping breed a new species of potato and for substituting natural fertilizer abundant in Taehongdan County for potash fertilizer so as to bring about a turn in potato-farming.
They bred a new species of hemp superior than other species in economic value when an all-people campaign for planting hemp was being conducted.
They also proved successful in the research for raising quality of zinc by relying on domestic raw materials.
Among the exhibits are methods of manufacture of absorbing haemostatic and its clinical application.
