Pyongyang International Invitational Table Tennis Tournament Closes

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) — The 18th Pyongyang International Invitational Table Tennis Tournament closed Monday with a due ceremony at the Table Tennis Gymnasium in Chongchun Street.

Present at the closing ceremony were Jong In Chol, vice-chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, Kim Yu Ho, chairman of the DPRK Table Tennis Association, officials concerned, foreign paddlers, working people, school youth and children and sports fans in Pyongyang.

The ceremony was preceded by finals of men and women’s singles and doubles, and mixed doubles in which paddlers presented exciting scenes of scoring by displaying splendid technique they had refined in day-to-day training.

Chinese paddlers gathered the golds in all events.

The invitational tournament proved to be a good opportunity in promoting friendship and exchanging achievements and experiences in sports among countries.
