Kim Yong Nam Meets Chinese Delegation

Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, today met and had a friendly talk with a delegation of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference led by its Vice-Chairman Li Zhaozhuo at the Mansudae Assembly Hall.

Present there were Kim Wan Su, director of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland, officials concerned, Guan Huabing, Chinese charge d’ affaires ad interim here.

On the occasion the head of the delegation said that the Sino-Korean friendship provided by the leaders of the old generation of the two countries is growing stronger under the deep concern of the leaders of the new generation. Referring to the recently continued mutual visits of high-ranking delegations between the two countries, he pointed out:

It is the firm policy of the party and government of china to develop the friendly relations with the DPRK. This will remain unchanged though the situation is complicated.

¡¡Saying that during his visit he witnessed the Korean people rallied close around the great Kim Jong Il achieving many successes in different sectors, he supported the Workers’ Party and people of Korea in their efforts for the defense of socialism and independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
