Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) — National contests among science and technology circles and dance circles of the schoolchildren’s palaces (halls) were held here.
Competing in the contest among the science and technology circles from Aug. 23 to Sept. 2.were at least 800 circle members selected from the schoolchildren’s palaces (halls) in Pyongyang and the provinces, cities and counties across the country.
The contest was divided into circles of mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, electronic device, car and truck, handicraft and sewing.
The contestants fully displayed the talent which they had refined through brisk circle activities under the benevolent care of leader Kim Jong Il.
The second national contest among dance circles of the schoolchildren’s palaces (halls) that covered the period from August 23 to 27 involved over 240 hopeful circle members.
They depicted well the happy looks of schoolchildren growing vigorously as reserves of Juche-oriented arts in colorful programs including dance trio, dance quartet, semi-group dance and group dance.
Citations were awarded to highly estimated units and circle members.
