Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — A ten-day film show was opened to commemorate the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
In the period, documentary and feature films dealing with the glorious revolutionary life of Kim Il Sung, who opened up a new era of national rebirth and prosperity in Korea with his great idea, leadership and noble virtues and performed immortal exploits for the country and the people, the times and history, will be screened at cinemas and cultural houses across the country.
Also shown will be films introducing the Songun revolutionary feats of leader Kim Jong Il and the Korean army and people working hard to make a new history of building a prosperous and powerful country under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Among them are documentary films “The Leader Is Great Father of Our People” and “Under the Guidance of Great Illustrious Commander” and feature films “Star of Korea” and “The Sun of the Nation”.
An opening ceremony took place at the People’s Palace of Culture Monday.
Minister of Culture Choe Ik Gyu made an opening address at the ceremony.
At the end of it, the participants watched a documentary film “They Were Always Together on the Road to Bring About the People’s Well-being” and a feature film “They Were Common Soldiers”.
