All Koreans Called Upon to Struggle for Withdrawal of U.S. Forces from S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) — The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification reportedly issued a statement on April 18 calling upon the 70 million Koreans to drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea without fail on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the historic joint conference of representatives of political parties and public organizations in South and North Korea.

The joint conference held in Pyongyang was a historic assembly attended by delegates from the south and the north transcending differences in ideology, political view, social system and religious belief to prevent the division of the nation and build a reunified country, the statement said, adding that this was a great exploit recorded in the history of the movement for national reunification.

It recalled that the U.S. imperialists and the Syngman Rhee clique committed cruel terrorism and assassination against the participants of the joint conference and, at the same time, carried out the ruinous “separate election,” causing the national split, an indelible crime.

The statement underscored the need to strengthen the great unity of the whole nation for making this year a year of independent reunification and pullout of the U.S. forces.
