Wreaths Laid at Martyrs Cemeteries

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) — Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong and the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery on April 25 on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the heroic Korean People’s Army.

Seen in the wreath-laying stands were wreaths sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony held at the revolutionary martyrs cemetery were Pak Pong Ju, Kim Chol Man, Kim Kuk Thae, Jong Ha Chol, Choe Yong Rim and others.

Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music, wreaths were laid in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Kim Ki Nam, Kwak Pom Gi, Ri Ha Il, Jon Jae Son, Kim Yong Dae, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party, and others were present at the wreath-laying ceremony held at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery.

Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music a wreath was laid in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Wreaths were placed at the cemeteries in the name of the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, working people’s organizations, ministries, national institutions, KPA units and scientific, educational, cultural, artistic and press organs, and party and power bodies, factories and farms in Pyongyang.
