Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) — The Kum Song Youth Publishing House in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has recently brought out new books.
Among them are a novel “Confrontation of History” (Vol. 4), an illustrated book “A Hunter in Mt. Paektu” and illustrated reminiscences “Comrades, Take This Pistol!”
The novel “Confrontation of History” deals with the struggle hero Jong Si Myong and pro-reunification patriots waged to frustrate the war provocation moves of the U.S. imperialists and the Syngman Rhee clique, upholding the ideas of President Kim Il Sung to reunify the country, divided by foreign forces after the liberation in August Juche 34 (1945).
The illustrated book “A Hunter in Mt Paektu” contains 14 stories including a legend “A Hunter in Mt Paektu”, an old tale “This Is the Man”, a cartoon “A Tongue-Tied ‘Friend’ ” and a humor “Answer of A Hired Boy”.
The legend “A Hunter in Mt Paektu” conveys a righteous deed of a hunter and villagers in punishing Japs coming to Mt Paektu to drive in an iron stake on the top of the mountain to break the spirit of Korea.
