Kim Yong Nam Greets Russian President

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, Monday sent a message of greetings to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Russian president, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Russian people in the Great Patriotic War.

The message noted that history would always remember the exploits and contribution the Russian people made by winning a great victory in the fight against the barbarous tyranny of fascism that threatened the existence of humankind.

In the belief that the bilateral traditional ties of friendship and cooperation would continue to grow stronger in the future, too, the message sincerely wished the Russian president greater success in his responsible work for the stability and prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people.
