Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) — The old book “Korean Code of Laws” is conspicuous among many classical documents of the nation. It takes an important place in studying laws of various states which once existed in Korean.
The book was the first statute of the Ri Dynasty authored by Jong To Son ,a Confucian scholar who was active in the period from the end of Koryo to the beginning of the Ri Dynasty.
It codifies the rules of the political, economic, cultural, military and other fields of the Dynasty.
The book had influence on statutes written thereafter.
