Demonstration for U.S. Drop of Its Hostile Policy toward North Staged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) — The Reunification Solidarity and the People’s Solidarity of south Korea reportedly staged one-by-one demonstration in front of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul from May 23 in demand of the U.S. cancellation of its war scenario against the Korean Peninsula and its hostile policy toward the north.

That day Han Sang Ryol, permanent representative chairman of the Reunification Solidarity, was the first to stage the demonstration, holding slogans “U.S., drop its hostile policy toward the north and come out for north-U.S. dialogue” and “U.S., give up its plan for preemptive attack upon the north”. He demanded the U.S. renounce its hostile policy toward the north, sincerely recognize the DPRK as a sovereign state and come out for direct dialogue with it.
Braving the police obstruction during the demonstration, its participants did not move to other place but continued it in front of the U.S. embassy.

The organizations declared that they would expand the new successes made in the anti-U.S. struggle including commemorations of the 25th anniversary of the May 18 Kwangju Popular Uprising, which opened a chapter in the mass struggle, through the one-by-one demonstration till June 11 when an anti-U.S., anti-war candlelight march is expected to take place.
