Actions for Withdrawal of U.S. Forces Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) — The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification in an article released on May 31 reportedly called on all the people to come out in the struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces.

The article underscored the need to launch an all-people struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces with the publication of a joint statement of patriotic organization for reunifications in the north and the south and overseas opposing a war, desiring peace and demanding the withdrawal of the U.S. forces as a momentum.

It called on all public circles to wage a dynamic struggle against the U.S. hostile policy toward the north, its deployment of PAC in Kwangju and the transfer of the U.S. forces base to Phyongtaek in the do-or-die spirit that they cannot survive unless they put an end to the 60-year-long history of the U.S. forces’ occupation and national division.

The present situation requires the people to realize the three forms of cooperation for national independence, peace against war, and reunification and patriotism and hold higher the banner of the struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces, the article notes, calling upon all of them to glorify June as a month of the struggle for the pullback of the U.S. forces with the faith in national independence, peace against war and reunification and patriotism.
