Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) — Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, watched together with servicepersons “Life”, a light comedy recently produced by the April 25 Feature Film Studio of the KPA.
Appreciating the comedy with him were KPA Chief of the General Staff Kim Yong Chun and Minister of the People’s Armed Forces Kim Il Chol, who are members of the NDC, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee Kim Kuk Thae and Kim Ki Nam and other senior party and army officials, and officials of literary and art and media institutions.
“Life” is based on the theme of collectivism being fully displayed by the servicepersons and people.
Through the comedy, artistes truthfully represented the real picture of the large socialist family in which all the people enjoy an independent and creative life to the full, helping and leading each other forward, single-mindedly united around the headquarters of the revolution. They also philosophically proved truth that collectivism, which can be displayed only under the best Korean socialist system, precisely means the might of the unity and represents the life and soul of the Korean people.
The performers successfully represented the Korean army and people’s militant spirit and rock-firm faith and will to increase the might of the single-minded unity in every way and thus devotedly defend with arms the headquarters of the revolution and the Korean socialist system centered on the popular masses.
The performance greatly mesmerized the audience as it was replete with the spirit of the times and the stamina of Songun.
At its end, Kim Jong Il waved to the enthusiastically cheering performers and audience. He congratulated the artistes on their successful performance.
He extended thanks to the creators and artistes of the studio, greatly satisfied with the fact that they successfully represented the comedy of cognitive and educational significance with a high degree of revolutionary zeal and militant spirit.
As the comedy tells, Korean-style socialism is invincible as it is based on collectivism and advances thanks to its might, he said, adding that thanks to this strong single-minded unity of our army and people, the DPRK could victoriously weather through so arduous and stern trials and will emerge victorious in the future, too.
He set forth tasks to be carried out in the art creation and activities, expressing the expectation and belief that the creators and artistes of the studio would creditably discharge their honorable mission and duty as soldiers at an outpost in charge of the ideological work for modeling the whole army on the Juche idea.
