Reparations to Victims of A-bombs Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) — 74 lawmakers from the Uri Party and the Democratic Workers’ Party of south Korea submitted to the National Assembly a resolution requesting the government to take a positive action for Japan’s payment of reparations to the victims of A-bombs, according to the south Korean CBS.

In the resolution they recalled that the government has not yet settled the issue of reparations to the victims of A-bombs in the south Korea-Japan “agreement,” urging it to make possible efforts including renegotiation for a solution to the issue, though belatedly.

They also requested the government to make a specific inquiry into the actual condition of the A-bomb victims and their children including their health and take immediate measures to provide them with conditions for their medical treatment and living.
