Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) — South Korean youth and students organizations fully supported the joint press release issued at the 15th North-South Ministerial Talks, according to a press report.
The south Korean Federation of University Student Councils in a commentary titled “We warmly welcome the successful agreement made at the south-north ministerial talks” on June 25 said that the recent talks could prove successful entirely because they were based on the will of all the Koreans for reunification to bring about a new phase for national reunification through national cooperation, adding the process of implementing the June 15 joint declaration over the last five years has clearly proved that the Koreans can overcome whatever difficulties if they pool their efforts.
The June 15 Youth and Students Solidarity in a statement on June 24 said: The ministerial talks were successfully held in Seoul at a time when people remained excited and rejoiced at the functions held to mark the fifth anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration.
The recent talks once again convinced us that “By our nation itself” clarified in the joint declaration serves as a strong force encouraging the Korean nation to achieve reunification despite any difficulties, the statement noted, and continued:
Witnessing the auspicious national events that took place on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the joint declaration, we youth and students are filled with stronger conviction and optimism about reunification than ever before.
