NA Passage of “Agreement on Share of Defence Spending” Opposed in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) — The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification reportedly staged a one-by-one demonstration against the passage of the “agreement on the share of defence spending” through the south Korean “National Assembly” in front of its building on June 27, branding it as a product of submission to and collusion with the U.S.

Kong Tong Gil, chief of the team for disarmament and peace of the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, denounced the south Korean authorities for their disgraceful attitude such as offering the U.S. troops a huge amount of money collected from the people as taxes under the pretext of the south Korea-U.S. “alliance.”

He strongly demanded the authorities immediately withdraw the “agreement on the share of defence spending,” which would be helpful to the U.S. military presence in south Korea and its harsher colonial domination over it, and renegotiate the agreement.
