Fifth Anniversary of Buddhist Headquarters Commemorated in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) — A ceremony of commemorating the fifth anniversary of the Headquarters of Buddhist Jogye Order for the Promotion of the National Community (Minchubon) in south Korea was reportedly held in Seoul on June 29 with the attendance of Buddhist officials, Han Sang Ryol, permanent representative-chairman of the Reunification Solidarity, Chairman Ri Kyu Jae and Honorary Chairman Ri Jong Rin of the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification (Pomminryon) and representatives of other reunification movement organizations.

Speakers at the ceremony said that the religionists have struggled for the peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula together with reunification movement organizations and that Minchubon should conduct more vigorous activities for inter-Korean exchange and cooperation.

The congratulatory messages read out at the ceremony called upon the religionists in the south and the north to strive for the peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
