Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, sent a message of greetings to Col. Moammer el Gaddafi, leader of the Great September First Revolution of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, on July 4 in connection with the Fifth African Union (AU) summit to be held in Sirte, Libya.
The summit will be a significant occasion in enhancing the AU function and role and resolving continental issues including socio-economic development and disputes and major international matters in the common interests of the African people, says the message.
The DPRK government and people, it says, highly appreciate the great successes of AU member nations including Libya in their efforts to achieve independent development, integration and prosperity of the continent and extend positive support and firm solidarity to the just cause of the African people.
Expressing the belief that the summit would discuss all the questions on the agenda and bear good fruition in conformity with the desire and demand of all the African people, the message sincerely wished him a great success in his responsible work.
