Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) — Remembrance concerts and meetings and other functions were held in different parts of the country on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The participants in the concerts sang with deep emotion the immortal revolutionary paean “Song of General Kim Il Sung,” famous songs “Nostalgia,” “Song of Anti-Japanese War,” “Song of the River Amnok,” “Phophyong Ferry” and so on.
Put on the stages were songs, poems and instrumental music including “Let’s Sing of the Fork Where the Road to Mangyongdae Branches Off” and “We Always Remember All Sorts of Hardships Undergone by the Leader” reflecting the President’s noble intention of “believing in the people as in Heaven” and the great happiness and worthwhile life the Korean people enjoy under his loving care.
Their repertoires also included songs such as “Leader Is Always with Us,” “Song of the Sun Will Last Forever,” “Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Are Just the Same” and “The General Steers New Century.”
Remembrance meetings and oath-taking gatherings were held by working people’s organizations in different parts of the country.
Speakers there recollected with deep emotion the undying exploits Kim Il Sung performed by hewing the untrodden path of the revolution in the grim years of the 20th century and always leading the Korean revolution to victory and the boundless loving care shown by him for the people from all walks of life and took a solemn oath to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
A remembrance meeting was held at the Songdowon International Children’s Camp with tens of thousands of school youth and children in Wonsan City attending and evenings yearning for Generalissimo Kim Il Sung were held at children’s camps in different parts of the country. Similar functions took place at schools at all levels.
Present there were officials of local Party and power bodies and working people’s organizations, those who had the honor of being received by the President, related persons, working people and school youth and children.
