Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) — Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory of the great Fatherland Liberation War.
Citizens, servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army and school youth and children here and overseas compatriots staying in the socialist homeland visited the statue of the President on Mansu Hill.
Seen standing before the statue of the President was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.
Amidst the playing of the floral basket-laying music floral baskets were laid before the statue in the name of party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA, different organs, enterprises, farms, schools and others in the city and bouquets and flowers.
Written on the ribbons of the floral baskets were “The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is immortal”, “The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung will always be with us” and “The revolutionary exploits of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung are immortal!” and so on.
Participants made bows to Kim Il Sung in humble reverence.
Floral baskets, bouquets and flowers were laid before the statues of the President at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Political University, the Ministry of People’s Security, the Pyongyang Schoolchildren’s Palace and other units in Pyongyang and different parts of the country.
A floral basket was also put before the statue of the President on Mansu Hill by family members of So Sun Ok, an anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter in China, who are staying in the socialist homeland.
