Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) — The Steering Committee of the Seoul District Federation of Students reportedly released a statement titled “Replace armistice agreement by peace agreement” on July 23.
The statement said that though 52 years have passed since the conclusion of the armistice agreement the danger of war is still lingering on the Korean Peninsula, keeping the Korean nation uneasy.
It denounced the U.S. for persistently letting loose a spate of bellicose remarks and getting more undisguised in its exercises for a war of aggression with various types of sophisticated lethal weapons involved, straining the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
It is necessary to replace the armistice agreement by a peace agreement in order to remove the threat of war by foreign forces and achieve durable peace on this land, the statement said.
