Many Literary Works Created in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) — The Central Committee of the Korean Writers Union has created a lot of literary works to vigorously inspire the working people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea who have turned out in the drive for making a greater leaping forward this year, full of a great ambition and confidence.

Among the works are over 40 poems and songs.
Long poem “Stormy Life” eulogizes the immortal revolutionary life of leader Kim Jong Il, who is devoting himself for the prosperity of the nation and the happiness of the people.

The poems reflecting lofty spiritual world of the people to bring about the heyday of socialist construction with overall offensive and the thriving reality of the country include “Fatherland, forward under uplifted red flag of three revolutions”, “My fatherland, let’s effect higher leap” and “Oath taken on fresh onward march”.
Selected poems “Young people resemble Mt. Paektu” depict the reliable young men and women who are distinguishing themselves in the construction of the Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station in the van of the general onward march of the Songun revolution.
“We will glorify the great nation of Mt. Paektu with arms” and other songs instill confidence and optimism for the future victory in the minds of all the servicepersons and people.

In particular, the resolution of the people to support the leader with noble loyalty and pure conscience generation after generation is reflected in song “Inheritance of our family” in a lyrical and profound way.

More than 20 short stories have been created. Among them are “Pillar”, “Persimmon-apricot tree village” and “Sobaek Stream never freezes” showing greatness of the three generals of Mt. Paektu and “Seven and one” dealing with the revolutionary fighting spirit and way of work of servicepersons of the Korean People’s Army.
Over 60 literary works for children including short story “Our country”, poem “New charming scenery”, tale “Mysterious magnet” have been created which will be greatly conducive to the cognitive education of schoolchildren.
