Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) — Women of south Korean civic and public organizations including victims of the “comfort women” for the Japanese army reportedly held the 699th Wednesday meeting in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul on March 8.
At the meeting speakers said that the issue of the “comfort women” for the Japanese army has not yet been resolved owing to the Japanese authorities’ evasion of their responsibility though generations have changed. They accused the south Korean “government” of taking no measure for its settlement.
They said that the reality in which a lawmaker remains unpunished even after his sexual abuse convinces them that they have nothing to expect from the authorities and should settle the issue by themselves. They called upon the women to take the lead in the struggle to settle the issue of the “comfort women” for the Japanese army.
