Egyptian Ambassador Hosts Reception

Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) — Moustafa Mohamed Ahmed Al Hatter, Egyptian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the embassy on April 5 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

The ambassador noted that President Kim Il Sung fathered the Juche idea and performed great feats to be always recorded in history in the course of leading the struggle of the Korean people to victory, adding that he is always alive in the hearts not only of the Korean people but of the world progressives.

Recalling that leader Kim Jong Il has wisely led the Korean people in the drive to build a great prosperous powerful nation true to the lofty intention of the President, the ambassador stressed that the government of Egypt positively backs the struggle of the Korean people for national reunification.

Kim Yong Dae, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, in a speech said that it is an expression of the profound reverence for the President for the Egyptian friends to join the Korean people in commemorating the Day of the Sun every year.

Noting that the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation are the traditional ties provided by President Kim Il Sung and President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, he stressed that the Korean people would make positive efforts to boost the bilateral ties.
Present on invitation were Kim Yong Jin, minister of Education, and other officials concerned.

Present there were the staff members of the Egyptian embassy.
