S. Korean Opposition Party Vows Anti-war Movement

Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) — Members of the Democratic Workers’ Party of south Korea reportedly made public a “declaration for peace in Phyongthaek” on Apr. 5.

In the declaration they said that the relocation of the U.S. forces, in south Korea and the agreement on the “strategic flexibility” seriously threaten peace of the Korean Peninsula and that they would conduct an active movement for peace against war to check them.

They stressed that they would mobilize all means to defend precious cultural assets, environmental conditions, eco-system and others in Phyongthaek from destruction by the expansion of the U.S. military base.
