Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, called on Great King of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk at a state guesthouse on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by Minister of Culture Kim Jin Song, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Yong Il and others.
They were greeted at the state guesthouse by the Great King, the Great Queen, Cambodian Ambassador to the DPRK Chhorn Hay and other Cambodians.
At a cordial and friendly conversation Kim Yong Nam warmly congratulated the Great King and the Great Queen on their 54th wedding anniversary and the New Year’s Day of Cambodia.
Kim Yong Nam wished the Great King would spend pleasant and joyful days during his stay.
The Great King extended profound thanks to supreme leader Kim Jong Il for having shown deep care for him and his wife so that they might spend happy days without any inconvenience since their coming to Korea.
Sihanouk also said that they always remember and are grateful that President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il extended disinterested support and solidarity to the Cambodian people during the hardest period of the national liberation struggle in Cambodia.
He added that during his visit he witnessed the great achievements made by the Korean people in socialist construction of Juche under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
He wished Kim Jong Il good health.
Kim Yong Nam hosted a luncheon in honor of the Great King.
