Month of Anti- U.S. Joint Struggle Observed in Mexico and France

Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) — Functions for solidarity with the Korean people including meetings were held by the Mexican Committee for Supporting Korea’s Reunification and the France-Korea Friendship Association on June 23 and 24 on the occasion of the month of anti-U.S. joint struggle (June 25-July 27).

Alejandro Rosales Sanchez, chairman of the Mexican Committee for Supporting Korea’s Reunification, in a speech at a meeting praised President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il for their immortal exploits performed in the cause of national reunification.

Referring to the adoption and publication of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and its historical significance and tremendous vitality and the nature of the issue of Korea’s reunification, he urged the U.S. to stop interfering in that issue and withdraw its forces and nuclear weapons from south Korea as early as possible.

Andre Aubry, delegate president of the France-Korea Friendship Association, noted that under the leadership of Kim Il Sung the heroic Korean People’s Army and the Korean people won a shining victory in the Korean war by defeating for the first time in history U.S. imperialism, which sought to dominate the world.

Guy Dupre, secretary general of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea, expressed the belief that the Korean people would surely achieve the historic cause of national reunification and build a great prosperous powerful nation as they are inspired by the effective Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il and most just proposals for reunification.

A Korean film “Korean People’s Army, Steel-like Ranks” was shown in Mexico and an art performance was given in France.
