Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) — A meeting, a photo exhibition and a film show took place on June 24 on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. They were cosponsored by the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship and the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea.
Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, Korean books and photos showing the invincible might of the heroic Korean People’s Army.
At the meeting Yuri Castro Romero, secretary general of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship, told the attendants how the Korean war broke out and exposed the aggressive nature of U.S. imperialism.
Felix Fernandes Torres, secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, speaking next, vehemently denounced the moves of the U.S. imperialists to start another war and fully supported the Korean people in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
At the end of the meeting its participants watched Korean films “The Korean People’s Army, Steel-like Ranks” and “Korea Has Risen from Ruins”.
