Workers and Trade Union Members Vow Loyalty

Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) — Workers and members of the trade unions met in front of the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill on Thursday to vow their loyalty on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of his demise.

Ryom Sun Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK), made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that Kim Il Sung founded the immortal Juche idea in his early years, built an invincible powerful socialist nation on this land through his great revolutionary practice and made sure that the GFTUK was formed, wisely leading it to successfully discharge its noble mission and duty for the era and history.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the army and people of the DPRK are bringing about uninterrupted miracles and innovations in defending the country and building a great prosperous powerful nation and demonstrating the dignity and honor of the sun’s nation to the world.

They called upon all the workers and trade union members to make a new leap forward in building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation under the great banner of Songun and dedicate themselves to the sacred struggle to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by Kim Il Sung.

Present at the meeting were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the C.C., the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the C.C., the GFTUK, and trade union officials, working people and trade union members in Pyongyang.
