Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) — Various functions such as meetings and concerts to remember President Kim Il Sung and meetings to vow their loyalty were held by officials, working people and school youth and children in different parts of the country on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of his demise.
Officials, working people and school youth and children visited the statues of the President in different parts of the country including Pyongyang, Samjiyon County in Ryanggang Province, Chongjin in North Hamgyong Province and Kaesong near the Military Demarcation Line on July 8.
Forum to remember the President “We will uphold the fatherly leader’s instructions with ‘Arirang'” was held by the participants in the grand gymnastic and artistic performance “Arirang” at May Day Stadium in Pyongyang on Saturday.
The forum started with prologue and song “Strong Trend of Longing for President”. The performers recalled that the unique mass gymnastic display of our own style has developed startling the world people under his wise guidance and loving care, praising him as the great leader, revolutionary and man whom no other great man in the world could match.
They vowed to devote their all to reproducing “Arirang”, winner of “Kim Il Sung Prize”, as a world famous extravaganza true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Il.
A meeting “Camping night longing for Generalissimo” was held at the Mangyongdae Children’s Camp.
The performers said that they could never forget the fatherly Generalissimo who showed profound loving care for the children, calling them “kings” of the country and made sure that camps were built in picturesque places for them.
Meetings and concerts to remember the President and gatherings to hear stories about his noble virtues and meetings to vow loyalty also took place in all provinces, cities and counties.
