Last Autograph of President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) — President Kim Il Sung wrote the words “Kim Il Sung 1994. 7.7.” in a historic document for accomplishing the cause of national reunification. It was his last autograph.

These letters reflect the great life of the President who dedicated himself to the reunification and the prosperity of the nation.

National reunification was the lifelong cause and desire of the President.

The motherland the President had dreamt of during the protracted anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle was not the divided country.

He, therefore, had put his heart and soul into the cause of national reunification from the first days after the national division by foreign forces.

Under the complex and difficult situation after the liberation of the country, the President convened a historic Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Public Organizations in North and South Korea for the purpose of checking the permanent division of the nation and paving the way to the independent reunification.

In each period of political developments, he put forward the five-point policy and three principles and 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation for national reunification and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and saw to it that the July 4 North-South Joint Statement was made public. They are most correct, realistic and rational ones brightly lighting the way to reunification.

He authored many famous works and gave instructions for solving the reunification issue.

He gave reunification-related instructions on scores of times in the period from June 20 to July 7, Juche 83 (1994) and left the historic autograph on the day before his demise.

The lofty intention of the President associated with the autograph is being carried into reality by Kim Jong Il.

True to the behest of the President, he took a decisive step to bring about the June 15 era, new times for the independent reunification.

The Korean people will certainly accomplish the historic cause of national reunification, bearing the undying autograph of the President in mind.
