President Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad

Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) — A seminar and a photo exhibition took place in Uzbekistan, a round-table talk in Egypt and a lecture meeting and a film show in South Africa from July 2 to 5 on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

On display in the venues of the functions were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos showing the revolutionary life and undying feats of the President.

The director of the International Department of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan said at the seminar that Kim Il Sung founded the party and the state after the liberation of Korea and was active as the leader of the party and the state for nearly a half century.

The chairman of a district, Tashkent Region, committee of the People’s Democratic Party emphasized that Kim Il Sung defended global peace and security and devoted himself to the accomplishment of the cause of developing friendly relations with the progressive peoples of the world.

Korean film “The Great Life in 1994” was screened at the film show.
